1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Pageo ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.
2. Description of Service
Pageo is an iOS application that allows you to read e-books. The app provides features including library management, customizable reading, local file import, and optional access to third-party e-book stores.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Pageo. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement.
4. User Responsibilities
When using Pageo, you agree to:
- Use the app only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.
- Ensure that any e-books you import, sync, or read through Pageo are obtained legally and that you have the right to access them.
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app or any part of it.
- Not use the app to distribute, share, or make available copyrighted content without authorization.
- Not interfere with or disrupt the functionality of the app or its associated services.
5. Intellectual Property
The Pageo app, including its design, code, graphics, and branding, is the intellectual property of the developer and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. These terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the app.
Content you import into Pageo (such as your personal e-book files) remains your property or the property of the respective rights holders.
6. Calibre Sync
Pageo enables syncing with the Calibre Content Server over your local network. You are responsible for configuring and maintaining your own Calibre server. We do not guarantee compatibility with all versions of Calibre and are not responsible for any issues arising from changes to the Calibre software.
7. Third-Party E-Book Purchases
Pageo may offer the ability to browse and purchase e-books from third-party partners within the app. These purchases are transactions between you and the third-party partner. We are not a party to these transactions and are not responsible for the quality, availability, pricing, or delivery of content provided by third parties. Any disputes related to third-party purchases should be directed to the respective partner.
Third-party e-book purchases may be subject to the partner's own terms of use and licensing agreements, which you should review before completing a purchase.
8. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
Pageo may offer a Pro subscription or other in-app purchases through the Apple App Store. All purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions. Subscription details, including pricing, billing frequency, and renewal terms, will be presented to you before purchase.
You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Refund requests should be directed to Apple.
9. Advertising
Pageo may display advertisements provided by third-party ad networks, including Google AdMob. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements. Your interaction with any advertised product or service is solely between you and the advertiser.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
Pageo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not guarantee compatibility with any particular device, operating system version, or third-party software.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developer of Pageo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the app. This includes, without limitation, loss of data, loss of content, or damages resulting from reliance on third-party services.
12. Content and Copyright
Pageo is a tool for reading e-books. We do not host, distribute, or provide any e-book content. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of content within the app complies with applicable copyright laws and the terms under which you obtained that content.
13. Modifications to the App and Terms
We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue Pageo or any of its features at any time without prior notice. We may also update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. Any changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this document.
14. Termination
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate your access to the app if you violate these Terms of Use or engage in conduct that we determine to be harmful to the app, its users, or third parties.
15. Governing Law
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict of law principles.
